Besides the transit strike in Halifax the big talk today has been of a storm for the Saturday/Sunday period. Models have been hinting at this for the past few days and as we get closer the forecast becomes clearer.
As of now it appears the storm will cross the eastern end of the province. What this means for us in Halifax is some snow to begin with then rain and back to snow early Sunday mornng. Over night Saturday and into Sunday morning winds will be strong.
The forecast for Halifax,
Tonight clearing overnight. L -6
Friday sunny. H 2
Saturday snow changing to rain, windy. L 0 H 3
Sunday windy, rain changing to snow. H 4 early falling to -10 late in the day.
Monday flurries. L -11 H -2
Tuesday cloudy. L -5 H 0
Wednesday rain L -3 H 3
If time permits I will do an update tomorrow morning. I will be leaving the country tomorrow afternoon, so the next blog will probably not be until Feb 16.
