Snow Changing to Rain for Wednesday

A low pressure system moving out of the Great Lakes region will be in the vicinity of the Gulf of Maine tomorrow evening. It will cross the province overnight and be off of Newfoundland on Thursday morning. Snow from this system will begin tomorrow morning. As it looks now it will begin during the morning commute, after flurries overnight tonight.

During Thursday high pressure builds in and stays with us through the weekend. As mentioned last night, this ridge will keep a low well off our coast Friday morning.

Models are pointing towards a possible low pressure system coming up from the south on Monday, but the track and timing need to be worked out.

The forecast for Halifax.

Tonight clouding over with flurries beginning before midnight. L -5 rising to -2 by morning.

Wednesday snow beginning in the morning, around the time we all leave for work. Changing to rain around mid afternoon. 5cm except near 10 away from the coast. High 4.

Thursday Rain ending early morning, then a chance of flurries. L -1 H 3

Friday partly cloudy. L -6 H -4

Saturday partly cloudy. L -11 H -7

Sunday partly cloudy. L -11 H -5

Monday increasing cloud. L -6 H 0
