As most people realise we have been spoiled as of late with the warmer than normal temperatures for this time of year. Well that is about to change at least for the next few days. Tonight and tomorrow a north westerly wind will bring in colder air from central Canada. The windchill will make it feel even cooler than the thermometer says. Looks like a chance of light snow early Friday morning, and snow changing to rain for Saturday. A larger system is showing up on the models for late Sunday or Monday. The track and timing of this system still need to fine tuned, but there are a lot of model runs yet to come.
So the forecast for Halifax,
Tonight will be cloudy with brisk north west winds. L - 7
On Wednesday it will be mostly cloudy with the north west winds continuing. H -5
For Thursday a chance of flurries. L -6 H -1
On Friday a chance of light snow in the morning then clearing Temps -1 in the morning then falling.
Saturday snow changing to rain. -1 in the morning rising to 6 in the afternoon.
Sunday /Monday possible nor easter.
