Cooler Today But Warming Up Next Week

Currently as of 7:00 am we are under cloudy skies with temperatures ranging from -2 to -4  around the HRM. Radar shows light snow/flurries in the valley and central NS. These may work their way down into our area in the next hour or so.

For today, a ridge of high pressure sits to our west it will bring in some cooler temperatures today with northerly winds gusting up to 40 km/hr with a chance of flurries. Temperatures will fall to -7.

Tonight we can expect clearing with a cool low of -10.

On Christmas Day the high pressure system will bring us generally sunny skies with a  high of -4.

The low pressure system that was to give us periods of snow on Monday is now expected to pass well to our south. Still a chance of flurries are in the forecast with a low of -4 and a high of  2.

Things go down hill from here.

On Tuesday skies will cloud over as temperatures rise as we will be in a southwesterly flow. High of 7 and a low of 5.

And on Wednesday a low pressure system will pass through NB giving us rain  and wind and mild temperatures. The rain could be heavy so stay tuned.
